A backyard structure changes how you use your property. A pavilion turns a patch of lawn into the place everyone gathers on a Saturday. A pergola gives a bare patio shade and shape. A pool house means the towels, the floats, and the wet feet all stay outside.
BL Woodworking builds every structure in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, using the joinery and finish work Amish shops are known for, then delivers it to your yard, fully assembled, within 40 miles of Princeton. Choose a size and style off the lot or design something to fit your space exactly.
View In-Stock StructuresSeven ways to make your backyard work harder. Each one is customizable in size, color, roofing, and trim.
Pavilions – Open-air shelter with a solid roof, the right choice when you want to eat, grill, or gather outside regardless of the forecast. Available in wood or vinyl, with sizes that suit anything from a two-table patio to a full outdoor kitchen.
Pergolas – Slatted roofing that filters sun into dappled shade without closing off the sky. Freestanding for a garden or lawn, or attached to your home to frame a patio or deck.
Gazebos – The classic backyard landmark. Octagonal, oval, and rectangular designs in cedar, vinyl, and fully custom builds, add screens, railings, cupolas, or built-in benches.
Pool Houses – Changing space, towel storage, and pump equipment, all in one structure. Keeps the pool clutter out of your garage and the wet footprints out of your kitchen.
Swingsets- Solid wood play sets built to take years of climbing, swinging, and sliding. Configure the decks, slides, swings, and accessories around the space you have.
Chicken Coops – Predator-resistant coops with nesting boxes, roosting bars, and access doors that make daily egg collection and cleaning genuinely easy.
Dog Kennels – Weatherproof outdoor housing with a shaded run, built at a scale that suits your dog rather than a one-size-fits-all box.
Greenhouses – Extend your growing season on both ends. Available in our in-stock inventory, stop by either lot to see what’s on hand.

Start with how you actually plan to spend time out there.
Still weighing options? Walk our Princeton or Monroe Township lot and see the sizes in person; scale is much easier to judge standing next to it. Or try our 3D Visualizer to test colors and configurations from home.

Delivery. Within 40 miles of our Princeton location. We also serve customers throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania; ask us for a delivery quote to your address.
Site preparation. Your structure needs a level, accessible spot. Gravel pads, concrete slabs, and patio surfaces all work depending on the structure. We’ll tell you what your specific build requires and what clearance our delivery equipment needs before the truck is scheduled.
Permits. Requirements vary by municipality in New Jersey; some towns require a permit and a zoning review for a permanent structure, others don’t for anything under a certain footprint. Check with your township’s construction office before you order, and we’ll provide the dimensions and specifications you need for the application.

A backyard structure is an investment in your property, and you don’t have to pay for it all at once. We offer financing options to spread the cost over manageable monthly payments.
